The Veterinary Association of India (VAI) was formed with a singular mission — to unite the veterinary profession under one national platform, uphold the dignity of the profession, and serve as a voice for veterinarians in policy, education, and public health matters.
VAI represents registered veterinarians from every corner of India, working in livestock, companion animal, poultry, wildlife, and public health sectors. Our constitution is built upon the principles of professional excellence, ethical integrity, and mutual cooperation.
Our Objectives Include:
- Promoting unity, fraternity, and mutual respect among veterinarians
- Protecting the rights, privileges, and welfare of members
- Encouraging advancement in veterinary education, research, and clinical practice
- Supporting legislation and policies that benefit the veterinary profession and society
- Building public awareness about animal health and welfare issues
As a Section 8 registered organization under Indian law, VAI operates transparently and in strict compliance with statutory requirements. We are proud to be affiliated with both national and international veterinary bodies, ensuring our members remain connected to global best practices.
